LL-TEQ Solutions / Gravel Roads

Stop rebuying the same gravel every year: a bound surface that sheds water and resists washboard and potholes.

The problem

Gravel comes back every year — and so does its cost

The endless cycle

Regravelling, grading, calcium chloride, then it all starts over: the gravel-road budget is a recurring expense, not an investment.

Washboard and holes

An unbound surface breaks down under traffic: washboard, potholes, aggregate lost to the ditches with every rain.

Dust on top

Every vehicle lifts the fine binder off your surface — quite literally your road blowing away.

The LL-TEQ solution

LL30 at light loading in the running surface

The LL30 binder is mixed at light loading into the existing gravel surface, then compacted: the fines are bound, the surface sheds water instead of absorbing it, and the aggregate stops migrating. Optional LL25 surface application for season-long dust control.

  • LL-TEQ: loading and depth design, SOPs, technical presence, coordination
  • The contractor or the client: execution of the works with their own equipment
  • Bearing capacity is designed per project, with your engineer of record
  • The math is total cost of ownership: treat once instead of regravelling every year

The price

How the price is set

Every solution is quoted per m². The price follows from the loading design: the treatment depth and the product charge per m², set by our engineering design for your project. No published figure replaces a design — every quote is generated per project.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does this change compared to calcium chloride?

Chloride draws in moisture to hold the fines — it dilutes, needs reapplying, and corrodes equipment. LL30 mechanically binds the surface: the effect doesn't depend on moisture and doesn't wash away with the rain.

Does the road stay a gravel road?

Yes — same appearance, same light grading maintenance as needed, but a cohesive surface that keeps its profile and its aggregate.

How long before retreating?

The design targets seasons, not weeks; actual frequency depends on traffic and the loading selected, and is included in the end-of-site recommendation.
